Job summary

Okta is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer, Globalization to architect, build, and maintain our global localization automation infrastructure. This specialized, highly autonomous role centers on internal automation, CLI tools, and TMS integrations rather than core product features.

As the sole technical owner of the localization stack, you will drive technical decisions, system architecture, vendor management, and cross-functional i18n consulting, solving complex integration and pipeline

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in software or globalization engineering.
• Expert-level Python, API development, and automation infrastructure.
• Experience with enterprise CMS (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager).
• Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs and MT pipelines.
• Deep understanding of localization, TMS architecture and file formats.
• Code-review capability across React/Go/Java and AST-based tooling.
• Independent, highly autonomous work style with strong problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the Localization Automation Framework using Python and REST APIs.
• Write, test, deploy, and maintain production-grade code end-to-end as IC.
• Integrate AI/localization tech, LLM APIs and MT pipelines into automation.
• Provide technical oversight and resolve high-impact localization issues.
• Lead i18n code reviews and shape architecture for global readiness.
• Manage TMS administration, webhooks, and data connectors.
• Develop developer tooling and shift-left CI/CD guardrails.
