Snorkel AI in San Francisco is seeking an IT Platform & Automation Engineer who treats internal infrastructure like a product. You’ll own IdP/MDM, automate endpoints, design network access, and drive integrations across Okta, Greenhouse, Notion, and CRM, with a strong coding focus.

This role emphasizes automation over break-fix, requires 4+ years in IT engineering, and strong Python or JavaScript, plus API fluency.

Qualifications

• Experience: 4+ years in IT/engineering, systems engineering, or platform roles with a heavy emphasis on automation and APIs.
• Coding Proficiency: Advanced Python or JavaScript/Node.js; treat scripts like software with git, CI/CD, testing, and documentation.
• API Fluency: Built integrations using REST/GraphQL APIs; comfortable with OAuth2 and JSON parsing.
• IdP & MDM Experience: Hands-on with Okta or Azure AD (SCIM, Workflows, automation) and at least one MDM solution (Jamf and Intune).
• Security-First Mindset: Understand least privilege, automated patching, and security in every integration.

Responsibilities

• Identity & Access Management: Own IdP (Okta/Auth0), implement SSO, MFA, and SCIM across SaaS tools.
• Endpoint Lifecycle: Automate device provisioning and secure deployment using Jamf and Intune.
• Network Engineering: Design and maintain high-availability office networking with cloud-managed switches and VPN/ZTNA for a hybrid workforce.
• APIs & Integrations: Build integrations between Okta, Greenhouse, Notion, and CRM; replace no-code with proper code.
• Automation & AI: Connect LLM APIs (Claude/OpenAI) to internal tools; allocate time for R&D in sprints.
• Security & Compliance: Script monitoring, patch management, and SOC2/ISO alignment; centralize alerting via Slack/CrowdStrike.
