Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a highly experienced Principal Workday Technical Architect to define and drive the long-term architecture strategy for Workday and the HR technology ecosystem. You will act as a technical authority across HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Payroll, and related domains, partnering with business leaders to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

You will lead architectural design, governance, and modernization efforts, mentoring teams and ensuring alignment with Mastercard’s engineering

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise application architecture and engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands‑on Workday technical architecture in large enterprises.
• Deep Workday integrations experience with Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, APIs, web services, and middleware.
• Experience with Workday Extend to address complex business requirements with minimal customization.
• Expertise in Workday security architecture, governance, compliance, and audits.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term architecture and roadmap for Workday and related technologies.
• Lead design of scalable, secure Workday solutions, integrations, and platform capabilities.
• Translate strategic priorities into technology solutions with stakeholders.
• Govern architecture decisions and align with enterprise standards.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance to teams.
• Communicate complex topics to senior stakeholders for informed decisions.
