Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to champion safety across a site, leading our Global WHS Program implementation and partnering with Operations leadership to protect associates while enabling productivity.

The role requires significant travel (50-70%), leading safety initiatives, conducting risk assessments, audits, and data analysis. A health and safety degree and people management experience are essential for success at Amazon.

Qualifications

• Degree in a health and safety-related subject.
• Experience managing a team.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
• 3+ years of people management, or 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience.
• 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Global WHS Program implementation and safety culture initiatives.
• Conduct risk assessments and analyze safety data to drive improvements.
• Manage first aid and emergency response capabilities at the site.
• Audit safety compliance and track incident trends to target improvements.
