Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Towson, MD, is seeking a senior leader to own and expand our multi-brand international Web Platform. You will lead the development team, partner with product, UX/UI, and other stakeholders, and own the end-to-end software lifecycle from planning to deployment.

You’ll drive high-quality, scalable web experiences, integrate CMS and backend APIs, and adopt AI-enabled testing and coding tools to boost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Experience with Next.js, Vercel, Acquia/Drupal or another enterprise CMS, and search platforms such as Algolia or OpenSearch.
• Proven ability to lead software engineers and specialists on a modern web platform.
• Experience delivering multi-brand or international websites.
• Experience integrating web applications with backend APIs and services.
• Proven track record managing full lifecycle software projects and leading technical teams.
• Experience with AI-enabled testing tools, automated coding assistants, or AI-driven development workflows.
• RESTful APIs and how web apps consume backend services.
• DevOps practices, CI/CD, security, and agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management.
• Mentoring engineers and building high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers and platform specialists.
• Build and maintain a scalable, multi-brand international Web Platform.
• Own application, content, search, and eCommerce delivery on the platform.
• Integrate APIs and services from partner teams for content, data, and commerce.
• Oversee the software development lifecycle from planning to maintenance.
• Drive CI/CD, testing, code reviews, and coding standards.
• Adopt AI-enabled testing tools and coding assistants to boost productivity.
• Ensure security, performance, and scalability in development.
• Recruitment, performance reviews, and professional development of staff.
