Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a water treatment design expert to influence water chemistry, quality, sustainability, and next‑generation data center design across a global portfolio. You will coordinate with design engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance to define, design, and document water treatment features for on-site and large campus systems, ensuring safety and uninterrupted service.

As SME, you will guide contractors, interact with AHJs, and contribute to design standards

Qualifications

6+ years in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.
Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.
Experience with water treatment design for industrial water, domestic water and wastewater.
Professional Engineering or Architectural License (preferred).

Responsibilities

Drive improvement of design standards and project approaches across the organization.
Coordinate with third party design vendors to review designs for standards, AHJs, and code requirements.
Provide high quality water treatment advice on global projects with internal mechanical teams.
Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and risk management to handle RFIs and VE queries.
Ensure code compliance, design and installation standards, water supply evaluation, testing, inspections, and submittal review.
Travel up to 25% as required.
