Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Water Treatment Engineer to influence water chemistry and sustainability for its global data center fleet in Seattle.

You will design, document, and specify water treatment features across facilities, coordinating with design, construction, and operations teams. You will prepare detailed water treatment designs, ensure code compliance, and review submittals with AHJs, supporting the lifecycle of multiple campuses.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.
• 6+ years in mission critical facilities engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Improve design standards and project approaches across the organization.
• Review concept designs with third party vendors to ensure compliance with design standards and AHJ requirements.
• Provide high quality water treatment advice on a global set of projects with input from mechanical engineering teams.
• Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and risk management teams to address RFIs and value engineering queries.
• Ensure code compliance, design and installation standards, water supply evaluation and submittal review; meet AHJs as needed.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.
