Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Water Infrastructure Engineer to lead water-based cooling infrastructure projects in the US East region, coordinating with real estate, engineering, construction, commissioning and operations teams across North America.

The role emphasizes feasibility, design, and delivery of compliant, cost-efficient water systems for data centers, prioritizing reliability, safety, and sustainability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering experience in mission critical facilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Professional Engineer License preferred and region-specific codes knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute water and wastewater infrastructure for data centers.
• Negotiate utility contracts and connection agreements for water supply and wastewater.
• Engineer and monitor water treatment projects and scale designs for multiple regions.
• Manage projects to meet water sustainability goals and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams and local utilities on requirements and codes.
• Oversee testing, installation, operation, and maintenance of water systems.
• Travel up to 20% as needed for project execution.
