Job summary

Vontier is seeking a Vice President, Software Engineering to lead the global engineering organization for retail solutions technologies, spanning cloud IoT, on-premise systems, POS, Cloud SaaS, telemetry, asset management, incident management, mobile POS, self-checkout, and analytics. The role is US-based with up to 15% travel.

Requires 10+ years in leadership, deep cloud experience, executive presence and a track record managing 100-250+ engineers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a leadership role within retail solutions or tech
• Deep knowledge of leading technology providers and modern cloud systems
• Executive presence with track record with large customers and peers
• Exceptional communication, capable of executive-level presentations
• Experience managing 100-250+ engineers
• History delivering large-scale POS, IoT and cloud-based solutions
• Understanding of PCI and security standards
• Expertise in cloud-native software development
• Familiar with frontend, backend, cloud and databases technologies

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a global engineering team across US, Argentina, Europe and India
• Oversee a large business portfolio with substantial revenue streams
• Shape and execute a technology vision and architectural roadmap
• Collaborate with CTO and executives to deliver next-gen retail solutions
