Job summary
Vontier is seeking a Vice President of Software Engineering to lead the global engineering organization focused on retail solutions technologies, spanning cloud IoT to on‑premise devices and POS systems. You will shape technology vision and drive architectural roadmap across software, DevOps, ProdOps, QA, and maintenance for core product lines.
You will collaborate with the CTO and executives to deliver next‑generation retail solutions worldwide, manage 100‑250+ engineers across the US,
Qualifications
- Proven leadership in retail tech or software, guiding large teams.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and modern cloud services.
- Executive presence with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and executive-level presentation skills.
- Experience managing 100–250+ engineers.
- Background in POS, IoT and retail software architectures.
- Understanding of PCI security standards and certifications.
- Expertise in cloud-native software architectures and patterns.
