Job summary

Vontier is seeking a Vice President of Software Engineering to lead the global engineering organization for retail solutions. The role oversees cloud-native and on-premise systems, including POS microservices, telemetry, IoT platforms, and analytics, with a focus on scalable, secure software across geographies.

You will collaborate with the CTO and other executives to shape the Retail Technology vision, drive architectural roadmaps, and ensure high-impact delivery across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a leadership role within retail tech or tech company.
• Proven executive-level engagement with large customers and peers.
• Deep knowledge of cloud systems and technology providers.
• Strong communication and executive presentation skills.
• Experience leading large engineering teams (100-250+).
• Track record of delivering scalable, well-architected solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global engineering team across US, Argentina, Europe and India.
• Oversee a large business portfolio with global revenue streams.
• Craft and execute a cohesive technology vision and architectural roadmap.
• Collaborate with the CTO and executives to drive the Retail Technology strategy.
• Ensure delivery of next-generation retail solutions to the global market.
• Travel up to 15%.
