Job summary

Vontier is seeking a Vice President of Software Engineering to lead the global Convenience Retail software organization, spanning cloud IoT, on-premise devices, POS microservices, Cloud SaaS, telemetry, asset management, and analytics. This US-based role reports to the CTO and partners with GMs to deliver scalable retail tech solutions worldwide.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a senior leadership role in retail tech or tech.
• Proven ability to shape technology strategy and roadmaps.
• Strong executive communication and customer engagement experience.
• Experience managing large engineering teams (100-250+).

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a diverse global engineering team across multiple locations, including the US, Argentina, Europe and India.
• Oversee a significant business portfolio, supporting a global operation with substantial revenue streams.
• Craft and execute a cohesive technology vision and architectural roadmap for engineering, DevOps, ProdOps, QA automation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with the CTO and other executives to implement the Retail Technology vision and deliver next‑gen retail solutions.
