Job summary

Fluence is seeking a Vice President of Software & Controls Engineering to lead the global organization responsible for embedded software, BMS, EMS, SCADA, cloud platforms, fleet management, and cybersecurity.

You will shape strategy, governance, and standards, driving Agile practices, software quality, and innovation across the product portfolio. This is a high-impact, executive leadership role based in the United States.

Qualifications

20+ years of engineering leadership in complex industrial or enterprise product environments.
10+ years leading global software engineering organizations.
Expertise in embedded software, controls, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, cloud technologies, and digital product development.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the long-term Software & Controls Engineering strategy aligned with BU strategy, tech roadmap, and business objectives.
Establish global operating model, standards, governance, and capability roadmap for software engineering.
Lead AI/ML, optimization, and digital capabilities in software platforms.
Drive Agile, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and SSDLC best practices across the software lifecycle.
Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable software platforms and lifecycle management.
