Vontier is seeking a Vice President of Software Engineering to lead the global Retail Technology engineering organization, spanning cloud IoT to on-premise devices and POS systems. The role focuses on delivering scalable, secure, and innovative retail solutions worldwide, with up to 15% travel and close collaboration with senior executives.

The position requires 10+ years in senior leadership within retail tech, deep cloud knowledge, executive communication, and experience guiding large teams

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a leadership role within retail solutions or tech
• Experience managing large engineering teams (100-250+)
• Deep knowledge of modern cloud systems and technology providers
• Proven track record with executive-level customers and presentations

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse global engineering team across multiple locations.
• Oversee a significant business portfolio with substantial revenue streams.
• Develop and execute a cohesive technology vision and architectural roadmap for all product lines.
• Collaborate with CTO and executives to implement Retail Technology strategy and next-generation solutions
