Job summary

Generac is seeking a Transportation Mode Manager to oversee transportation in the mode across countries, including sourcing, carrier selection, rate negotiations, freight audit, and cost control. The role will report to Logistics leadership and drive year-over-year savings while ensuring smooth supply chain operations.

Travel up to 10% is expected as part of coordinating global transportation activities and aligning with internal stakeholders and external carriers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years in transportation and logistics strategic sourcing for a Fortune 1000 company with domestic and international presence.
• 3+ years leading/mentoring teams or large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide Logistics expertise and support on logistics challenges to the Business unit ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Develop and deploy KPIs reflecting areas of improvement or success.
• Review and assess the Business unit logistics network to optimize logistics execution and costs.
• Negotiate International and domestic contracts.
• Lead RFP/RFQ initiatives and form strategies with stakeholders.
