Job summary

Netceed is seeking a Transportation Manager responsible for overseeing the movement of goods across multiple transportation modes. The role focuses on reducing total transportation spend, negotiating carrier agreements, and managing performance against service and cost targets.

The position reports to the SVP of Operations and requires extensive experience in transportation management, cost optimization, and leadership of cross-functional teams in a multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business or related field.
• 5+ years in transportation, logistics or distribution management with carrier negotiation.
• Proven track record reducing freight spend while maintaining service.
• Experience leading hourly and salaried teams across sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee transportation network design, routing, and execution for cost and service optimization.
• Monitor pick-up/delivery times and coordinate with warehouses and customers on shipment details.
• Lead annual and spot rate negotiations with carriers, including RFPs and rate benchmarking.
• Manage budgets, freight invoices, and cost per shipment/mile with variance reporting.
• Ensure DOT compliance, safety standards, and proper shipping documentation.
