Job summary

Tarte Inc. in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Transportation to lead the global transport network, ensuring on-time, within-budget product movement across modes and regions.

The role combines hands-on operational management with analytics and financial accountability, overseeing carrier performance, spend tracking, and process improvements while guiding a small team and aligning with the overall transportation strategy.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain.
• Experience managing carriers, freight forwarders, 3PLs, or other transportation providers.
• Strong analytical skills; advanced Excel and experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Use AI and automation tools to automate manual and daily tasks, such as reporting, spend analysis, and exception management.
• Experience with TMS, ERP, or other transportation technology.
• Experience leading or mentoring team members; strong communication and stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day global transportation execution across modes, regions, and lanes.
• Resolve service issues, delays, and exceptions quickly, and manage claims through resolution.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost, service, and capacity, and recommend network changes to leadership.
• Support the annual transportation budget and own monthly forecasting, variance analysis, and spend reporting.
• Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and scorecards covering carrier performance, service levels, and spend.
• Develop, document, and maintain SOPs and workflows for transportation planning, execution, claims, and exception management.
• Identify process gaps and implement scalable improvements.
• Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, brokers, and 3PLs, including scorecards and business reviews.
