Job summary

Tarte Cosmetics is seeking a Global Logistics Coordinator in New York to manage the planning and coordination of international shipments, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant transport. You will liaise with carriers, forwarders, and internal teams to optimize logistics processes and documentation.

The role requires 1–3 years of related experience, a logistics-related degree, and strong Excel skills; experience with ERP/TMS/WMS systems is a plus. Competitive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, operations management, and/or business administration.
• 1–3 years related work experience.
• Working knowledge of global logistics, imports/exports, international & domestic freight shipments, US customs, FDA, Hazardous goods, Duty & VAT, Incoterms, & HTS classification.
• Organized, analytical, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and projects in a high-pressure environment.
• The ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and the ability to create Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and If Statements.
• Experience working in an ERP (Navision preferable), TMS, and WMS systems.
• Experience in Ecommerce, retail, or consumer goods supply chain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safe, cost-effective global transport via ocean/truck/air/courier.
• Issue RFQs to multiple forwarders and review rates with the Logistics Team Lead.
• Review invoices and submit for approval.
• Generate and maintain shipping documents, including customs forms and packing lists.
• Track inbound/outbound shipments to ensure timely deliveries.
• Update ERP with shipment details; reconcile posted vs in-transit data.
• Produce weekly inbound shipment reports.
• Interact with retailers, subsidiaries, distributors, 3PL, brokers, and carriers to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Communicate shipment issues with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams.
• Collaborate with Customs brokers and carriers for timely, compliant flows.
• Adhere to packing/handling guidelines with product safety in mind.
• Assist cross-functional teams with logistics and customs inquiries.
• Participate in process improvements and maintain records and procedures.
