Qualifications

• 2–6 years of finance, transportation finance, aviation finance, equipment finance, or related transactional experience
• Experience with secured lending, leasing, structured finance, or asset-based financing transactions
• Experience with aircraft, aviation assets, transportation assets, or other sophisticated equipment financings
• Experience representing lenders, lessors, borrowers, operators, investors, manufacturers, or financial institutions
• Experience drafting and negotiating credit, lease, security, purchase, guarantees, and other financing documents
• Experience coordinating complex transactions from due diligence to closing
• Cross-border or international transactions experience is a plus
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated transactions in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent client service and communication skills
• J.D. and Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Responsibilities

• Advise on sophisticated aviation, aircraft, equipment, and transportation finance transactions
• Draft and negotiate credit, lease, security, purchase agreements, guarantees, and other financing documents
• Coordinate transactions from initial diligence through closing
• Represent lenders, lessors, borrowers, operators, investors, manufacturers, or financial institutions in financing matters
• Support a high-volume, fast-paced finance practice with cross-border opportunities

This is an excellent opportunity for a transactional attorney interested in sophisticated aviation, aircraft, equipment, and transportation finance transactions involving major financial institutions, lessors, investors, manufacturers, operators, and other participants in the global transportation industry.

Ideal Background

• 2–6 years of finance, transportation finance, aviation finance, equipment finance, or related transactional experience
• Experience with secured lending, leasing, structured finance, or asset-based financing transactions
• Experience involving aircraft, aviation assets, transportation assets, or other sophisticated equipment financings is highly desirable
