Job summary

BD is seeking a Senior Director of Transfer Pricing to lead BD’s global TP function and evolve the company’s TP strategy, policies, and operating model. You will align TP with manufacturing, distribution, software, SaaS, and recurring revenues across the enterprise, guiding governance, controversy, and transformation initiatives.

The role emphasizes leadership, cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision making, and adoption of automation and AI within TP processes, reporting to Finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Business or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• J.D., LL.M., CPA, master’s degree or other relevant professional credential preferred but not required.
• Typically 12+ years of progressive transfer pricing or international tax experience, including experience in a complex multinational environment.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. Section 482, OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines and international transfer pricing principles.
• Significant experience with tangible-goods manufacturing, distribution and global supply chains.
• Experience with evolving business models involving software, connected products, SaaS, subscriptions or recurring revenues preferred.
• Strong transfer pricing controversy experience, including U.S. and/or non-U.S. examinations and experience working with tax authorities, legal counsel, economists and other advisors.
• Experience leading technology-enabled transfer pricing or tax process improvements, including automation, AI, analytics or enterprise data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve BD’s global transfer pricing strategy, policies and operating model.
• Understand business, product, supply-chain and operating-model developments and assess transfer pricing implications.
• Provide strategic transfer pricing leadership for transformations, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings and other initiatives.
• Lead transfer pricing aspects of significant examinations and disputes and develop controversy strategy.
• Oversee documentation and economic analyses; ensure policy consistency with business operations.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Tax, and external advisors on major systems and technology initiatives.
