Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Senior Director for our GTA practice in the United States. You will lead data-enabled due diligence and post-acquisition performance improvement projects across industries such as manufacturing, retail, healthcare, technology, and financial services, delivering transparent, actionable insights that inform strategy and execution.

The role requires mentoring junior staff, guiding complex engagements, and coordinating cross-functional teams to drive value for clients.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data analytics or transaction services.
• Experience in buy-side/vendor due diligence across industries.
• Understanding of M&A/PE lifecycle.
• Strong data extraction, manipulation, analytics, and visualization skills.
• Proficient in Excel, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, BI tools, ML concepts.
• Able to explain complex concepts concisely.
• Excellent project management and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible to work as team member or individual contributor.
• Able to thrive in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead numerous client engagements.
• Manage and prioritize team responsibilities and consult with senior members across multiple deals.
• Work cohesively and collaboratively across stakeholders.
• Counsel and mentor junior members, developing the team’s technical acumen.
• Recruit, train, and develop junior staff, including teaching training classes as applicable.
• Effectively manage day‑to‑day client interactions and relationships, emphasizing A&M’s capabilities.
• Contribute to sales pursuits, generating new client business and/or adding on business from current clients.
• Expand TAG market share within existing clients and increase non‑TAG purchases from A&M at both fund and portfolio levels.
• Identify and pursue referrals from existing clients and new client opportunities by attending industry conferences.
• Appropriately manage engagement risk and potential client or engagement issues.
