Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Senior Director to lead data analytics engagements in our GTA practice, guiding client teams across industries such as manufacturing, retail, healthcare and financial services on pre‑ and post‑acquisition projects, with a focus on delivering actionable, data‑driven transparency.

You will manage multiple engagements, mentor staff, and contribute to sales opportunities while communicating complex analytics in clear terms to executives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data analytics or transaction services.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• Strong data extraction, manipulation, analytics, and visualization skills.
• Hands-on data analytics with Excel, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Lead numerous client engagements.
• Manage and prioritize team responsibilities and consult with senior members across multiple deals.
• Work cohesively across stakeholders.
• Counsel and mentor junior members, developing the team’s technical acumen.
• Recruit, train, and develop junior staff, including teaching training classes.
• Effectively manage day-to-day client interactions and relationships.
• Contribute to sales pursuits, generating new client business.
• Expand TAG market share within existing clients and increase non-TAG purchases.
• Identify referrals from existing and new clients by attending industry events.
• Manage engagement risk and potential issues.
