Job summary

Northrop Grumman in California is seeking an experienced Empowered Official to join the Global Trade organization as Manager 2, Global Trade. You will lead a team, ensure ITAR/EAR compliance, and prepare export packages for complex programs through the BUE.

This role requires deep knowledge of export controls, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate with Law, Contracts, and Supply Chain. Domestic and international travel up to 10% is expected; a U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience in international trade compliance with ITAR/EAR exposure.
• Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements in complex scenarios.
• Proven leadership and ability to manage a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manages a team of Global Trade professionals.
• Serves as Empowered Official for regulatory compliance.
• Prepares export authorization applications when required.
• Drives metrics and provides training on export controls.
• Maintains trade compliance records and coordinates with Law.
• Leads initiatives to improve processes and tools.
• Builds relationships with Business Development, Contracts, and Global Supply Chain.
