Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking an Intern for its Trade and Customs practice in Summer 2027. The role involves advising clients on import/export matters, researching international trade issues, and delivering actionable trade savings opportunities.

You will work on multiple engagements, develop technical skills in AI, Alteryx, and Power BI, and collaborate with a dynamic tax team. Applicants must be enrolled in a relevant program and meet GPA, coursework, and sponsorship requirements.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in specified fields
• Must have additional academic credits to complete before degree and/or CPA eligibility
• Preferred GPA of 3.0+
• Coursework in IS/CS/Analytics preferred
• Coursework in accounting and trade policy subjects preferred
• Strong technical, business acumen, critical thinking and agility
• Ability to learn and navigate AI, Alteryx, Power BI, and MS Office
• Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills
• Must reside within commutable distance and be able to travel to client sites
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on import/export matters across industries
• Examine U.S. and international trade matters
• Research, write and review international trade advice
• Formulate ideas and deliver trade savings opportunities
• Assist in delivering multiple client engagements on time and within budget
• Support implementation of global trade automated solutions
• Build capabilities in AI, Alteryx, Power BI for client service
