Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking an Associate to join our Trade and Customs practice in the United States. The role targets early career professionals during Summer/Fall 2027 and requires relevant degree completion or near-term graduation by Nov 2026.

You will advise clients on import/export matters, analyze trade issues, research, and draft international trade guidance while supporting multiple engagements and embracing innovative technologies such as AI, Alteryx, and Power BI to deliver valueful insights.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed JD in International Law or equivalent program within the last 12 months.
• Preferred GPA 3.0 or above.
• Coursework in information systems, software engineering, computer science or data analytics preferred.
• Strong technical, business acumen, and leadership abilities to operate in a dynamic, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on import and export matters in a variety of industries
• Examine U.S. and international import and export trade matters
• Research, write and review international trade advice
• Formulate ideas and deliver trade savings opportunities
• Assist in the delivery of multiple client engagements on time and within budget; maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations and enhance client satisfaction
• Support clients with the implementation of global trade automated solutions
• Build capabilities in AI, Alteryx, Power BI for tax service delivery
