Job summary

Sonaca North America is seeking a Supply Chain Compliance Specialist to support import/export controls, manage documentation, and monitor regulatory changes. The role ensures ITAR compliance and accurate tariff classifications while partnering with suppliers, brokers, and internal teams to optimize cross-border operations.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 2–4 years’ international trade experience, and proficiency with MS Office and compliance tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Law or related field required.
• 2–4 years of international trade compliance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ITAR, EAR and OFAC regulations and compliance processes.
• Proficiency using MS Office and compliance software.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve trade compliance procedures and controls.
• Ensure proper documentation is stored and traceable.
• Support internal questions and external audits.
• Identify risks early and elevate issues, proposing solutions.
• Maintain accurate tariff classifications and review duty payments.
• Collaborate with supply chain on product flow, sourcing and logistics.
• Assist with duty/refund claims and audit-ready documentation.
• Coordinate with customs brokers and review filings for accuracy.
• Track duty spend and develop clear reporting for finance and operations.
