Job summary

FlightSafety International seeks a Trade Compliance Analyst to manage global export and select import activities, ensuring compliance with ITAR, EAR, and related regulations while supporting business needs. The role requires analytical rigor, attention to detail, and collaboration with internal partners.

Responsibilities include item classification, recordkeeping, license support, and training across the Global Trade Compliance team; occasional travel may be required, and a U.S.

Qualifications

• BS/BA preferred; or 2–5 years in trade compliance in lieu of degree.
• Proven knowledge of ITAR and EAR; understanding of HTSUS/Schedule B and other controls.
• Experience with U.S. Export Control Reform.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research to determine jurisdiction of items via ITAR/EAR review order.
• Classify items for import/export; assign tariff numbers (HTS/Schedule B).
• Maintain records of jurisdiction assignments and classifications per regulations and policy.
• Collaborate across teams to communicate license controls and applicable lists (USML, CCL, Wassenaar).
• Assist with engineering analyses and explain controls to partners.
