Job summary

Saab, Inc. seeks a dynamic Trade Compliance Officer to support ITAR/EAR compliance for defense-related activities within the Land Systems division. You will implement, manage, and improve export licensing programs, collaborate with global affiliates, and ensure compliance with relevant U.S.

and international trade laws. You will coordinate license applications, maintain authorizations, and advise management on risk and regulatory changes while traveling as needed to support cross-border

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience with ITAR, EAR, and other trade regulations; or a Master's with 8+ years, or equivalent
• Experience partnering with engineering teams on USML/ECCN classification determinations and improving product marking workflows.
• Current or ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
• Ability to travel 5%-10%, domestically and possibly internationally.

Responsibilities

• Implement and continuously improve the trade compliance program with focus on defense-related activities and Land Systems.
• Partner with key functions to discuss, understand, and execute business objectives.
• Serve as SME on ITAR and EAR compliance, providing guidance for compliant decision-making.
• Draft export license applications and related documents; submit through US Government systems and track progress.
• Coordinate with foreign affiliates on U.S., Swedish, and other national trade compliance requirements.
• Ensure export authorizations, licenses, agreements, exemptions, and exceptions are maintained.
