Job summary

Arvato is a leading global 3PL provider seeking a Senior Trade & FTZ Compliance Manager to lead and optimize global trade compliance across import/export operations. You will guide business teams, brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders while assessing risks and implementing sustainable processes.

Your role includes supervising HTS/classifications, origin determinations, and documentation, and coordinating with ERP systems to maintain master data accuracy and support audits and initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive global trade compliance leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection requirements and U.S. export control regulations.
• Experience with HTS, Schedule B, ECCN, country of origin, customs valuation, export licensing, sanctions, and restricted-party screening.
• Experience managing customs brokers and third-party service providers.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day global trade compliance activities supporting U.S. and international import/export operations.
• Provide guidance on U.S. Customs, BIS, OFAC, and other regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain trade compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on operations and clients.
• Identify compliance risks and monitor remediation through completion.
• Oversee import compliance activities including HTS classification and origin determinations.
• Review customs entries for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with customs brokers to resolve entry discrepancies and inquiries.
• Support CBP inquiries, audits, and other customs matters.
• Oversee export compliance activities including ECCN/USML classification and license determinations.
• Provide guidance on EAR requirements, sanctions, and recordkeeping.
• Establish and maintain HTS, Schedule B, ECCN determinations with proper documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to obtain required technical/product information for trade determinations.
