Job summary

Arvato is seeking a Senior Trade & FTZ Compliance Manager to lead global trade compliance for import and export operations in a fast-paced, multinational environment. You will guide regulatory requirements, develop programs, and oversee classifications, screenings, and audits.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of leadership in trade compliance, with experience in Oracle, SAP GTS, and export controls. Strong collaboration with brokers and clients is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 10+ years in global trade compliance leadership with teams and stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. CBP, export controls, sanctions, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with HTS, Schedule B, ECCN, country of origin, and due diligence.
• Experience managing customs brokers and third-party providers.
• Experience with Oracle, SAP, SAP GTS or similar ERP/trade systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day global trade compliance for import/export operations.
• Guide on U.S. Customs, BIS, OFAC and other regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain trade compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on operations and clients.
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions and remediation.
• Oversee HTS classification, origin determinations, and duty rates.
• Review entries and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with brokers to resolve entry issues and inquiries.
• Support CBP inquiries, CTPAT, CF-28s/CF-29s, audits and disclosures.
• Oversee ECCN/USML classifications and license determinations.
• Provide guidance on EAR, license exceptions, export authorizations and screening.
• Maintain accurate trade master data in Oracle, SAP, SAP GTS, etc.
• Conduct trade compliance audits and risk assessments.
