Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a highly experienced Staff Supply Chain Manager to lead global sourcing for Thermal systems. You will own the commodity strategy and personally lead RFQs, cost analyses, and complex contracts, interfacing with Engineering, Finance, and Manufacturing to ensure on-time delivery and resilience.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to qualify suppliers meeting technical and program goals, mentor junior staff, and drive best-in-class pricing across a global supplier

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 8–15 years of progressive, hands-on Purchasing or Supply Chain experience, with Thermal Management systems expertise.
• Proven track record developing commodity strategies and leading complex RFQs.
• Experience with automotive part launches and serial production; APQP/PPAP knowledge.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and influencing skills with internal and supplier leadership.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities; proficient in MS Office and SAP.
• Willingness to travel 15–25% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global commodity strategy for Thermal systems.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing: supplier identification, RFQ, deep-dive cost analyses, and complex contracts/SOWs.
• Serve as the primary commercial contact for strategic suppliers; manage performance and timelines.
• Partner with Engineering and Supplier Quality to qualify suppliers meeting technical, quality, and timing goals.
• Build robust cost models and drive should-cost analyses for best-in-class pricing and terms.
• Manage supplier development and parts availability for prototype builds and production ramp.
• Mentor junior supply chain team members to elevate commercial acumen.
