Job summary

Versant Media, LLC is seeking a Technology Procurement Manager in New York to support the Global Procurement team in sourcing initiatives and technology spend management across global operations.

You will shape category strategies, lead sourcing workstreams, and collaborate with Operations and Technology teams to influence spend decisions, strengthen supplier governance, and deliver commercial value during a period of transformation and growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or vendor management, including demonstrated responsibility for technology categories.
• Experience leading complex sourcing initiatives and commercial negotiations for software/SaaS, cloud, data, cybersecurity, hardware, telecommunications, and/or technology professional services.
• Strong commercial, financial, and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate total cost of ownership, develop business cases, assess supplier proposals, and articulate meaningful tradeoffs.
• Experience participating in supplier negotiations and commercial evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Shape technology investment, supplier, and operating-model decisions that align with enterprise priorities and deliver measurable business value.
• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives across technology categories (software/SaaS, cloud, data, cybersecurity, hardware, services).
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Information Security, Privacy, Compliance, and Technology teams to resolve complex issues and drive decisions.
• Develop and execute competitive sourcing events (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs) to identify best-fit solutions and models.
• Lead complex commercial negotiations covering pricing, terms, SLAs, renewals, and risk provisions.
• Build total-cost-of-ownership analyses, business cases, and savings models for executive decisions.
• Conduct supplier due diligence and coordinate risk/compliance assessments before contract execution.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage technology agreements (MSAs, SOWs, amendments).
• Identify cost savings and process efficiencies while balancing risk and value.
• Maintain accurate sourcing, contract, and spend documentation; report status to leadership.
