Job summary

VERSANT is a leading media company seeking a Technology Procurement Manager to drive strategic sourcing and supplier governance across software, cloud, data, cybersecurity, and services. You will influence technology spend decisions, shape category strategies, and partner with Operations and Technology teams to deliver commercial value.

The role reports to the Global Technology Strategic Procurement team and offers growth as the procurement function matures. Hybrid work from Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certification a plus.
• 5+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement or vendor management, with technology focus.
• Experience leading complex sourcing and commercial negotiations for software/SaaS, cloud, data, cybersecurity, hardware, telecom or tech services.
• Strong commercial, financial and analytical skills to evaluate TCO and vendor proposals.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven interpersonal skills to build internal and external relationships.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic advisor on technology investments and supplier decisions.
• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing across technology categories (software, cloud, data, cybersecurity, hardware, services).
• Partner with Legal, Finance, InfoSec, Privacy, Compliance and Tech teams to resolve complex issues.
• Develop and execute RFIs, RFPs, RFQs and supplier evaluations.
• Lead complex negotiations covering pricing, terms, SLAs, and risk mitigations.
• Produce cost models, business cases, and executive recommendations.
