Job summary

Qnity is seeking a Global Technology Guardian (GTG) at its Newark, Delaware site to lead the mechanical converting operations within CMP pad manufacturing. This role defines the Most Effective Technology (MET) and owns a multi-year tech roadmap, guiding a global network of MT engineers.

You will interface with manufacturing leadership to align on technology roadmaps, and collaborate with R&D and scale-up teams for high-volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Electrical, or related discipline.
• 8+ years in MT and/or R&D in a manufacturing setting; technical leadership preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex equipment/process issues.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the SME and lead the GTG global network for Mechanical Conversions for the CMP business.
• Define and maintain the MET and Technology Roadmap for Conversions.
• Create a prioritized annual execution plan in support of the technology roadmap.
• Provide mentoring and support to Run Plant Engineers and early career MT Engineers.
• Improve competitive advantage in CMP pad manufacturing through incremental and major tech changes.
• Drive process improvements in Conversions for yield, quality, uptime, and capacity.
• Partner with operations on root cause analysis for complex manufacturing problems; support shop-floor issues.
• Develop and approve basic data for capital projects with vendors and site engineers.
• Represent the technology position in SoWs, design reviews, and safety reviews.
