Job summary

Coforge Limited in Princeton, NJ seeks an accomplished Director/Senior Director/AVP of Legal to lead complex tech contracts, data privacy, and global vendor negotiations. You will align legal risk with business growth and manage a high-performing team across multiple regions.

Reporting to the General Counsel – Americas and U.K./Europe, you will shape policy, draft MSAs/SOWs, oversee disputes, and guide executives on regulatory matters including GDPR/CCPA and AI compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of recent in-house law practice with leadership of legal teams
• Admitted to practice law in any U.S. state; NJ/NY/TX/CA preferred
• Global experience handling U.S. client matters and cross-border deals
• Extensive drafting and negotiation of MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, and data processing agreements
• Vendor and procurement contract experience and flow-down of obligations
• Knowledge of data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, EU AI Act)
• Experience advising senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
• Technology industry experience and independent management of negotiations

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy for complex client transactions and negotiations
• Review and negotiate vendor, subcontractor, and technology contracts
• Own disputes, settlements, and management of outside counsel
• Advise on data protection, cross-border transfers, and compliance
• Develop internal guidelines, playbooks, templates, and policies
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of lawyers; report metrics
• Undertake additional duties aligned with senior leadership responsibilities
