Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a seasoned Vice President, Associate General Counsel, Commercial Legal to lead the global commercial legal team. You will structure complex enterprise agreements, including SaaS, reseller and professional services, partnering with GTM and finance to scale legal support and ensure risk-aligned, business-focused counsel.

The role reports to the Chief Legal Officer and requires strong executive presence, CA Bar admission, and a track record of building

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience as a practicing attorney.
• 7+ years in-house experience with a proven track record of building and managing legal teams.
• Strong executive presence with excellent written/verbal communication.
• JD from an accredited law school and Bar admission (preferably in California).

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, coach and mentor the company’s global team of commercial attorneys and legal professionals.
• Provide executive-level negotiating expertise and guidance on SaaS master subscription agreements and other enterprise agreements.
• Ensure delivery of legal services aligns with laws, risks, and business needs; maintain customer focus.
• Evolve legal services to be data-driven, scalable and efficient for the go-to-market team.
• Position the legal team to lead AI-agentic commercial terms and approaches.
• Help build a public sector commercial legal program and team.
• Provide business feedback on customer needs including security, privacy, data usage, and AI matters.
• Develop and implement an innovative strategy to scale and improve legal support across the business.
• Collaborate with GTM, finance, deal desk, IT, security, procurement and other teams; drive automation and data analytics.
