Job summary

Meta seeks an experienced leader to head Global Tax Operations, reporting to the VP of Global Tax Strategy and Operations. The role drives AI-enabled tax tech and process improvements across the global lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and scalable risk management.

Candidate will build and mentor a high-performing team, collaborating with Finance, Engineering, Legal, and business units to integrate tax requirements into systems and processes.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in tax operations, tax technology, or a related field in a large multinational corporation or public accounting firm.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams in a complex, fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated experience driving large-scale technology transformations and process automation within a tax or finance function (AI experience preferred).
• Deep understanding of global tax concepts, ASC 740, and financial reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the long-term vision for global tax operations, aligning technology and process improvements with Meta's objectives.
• Lead the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of advanced tax technologies, leveraging AI and automation to streamline compliance, reporting, and forecasting.
• Continuously identify and implement process improvements across the global tax lifecycle for scalability, accuracy, and risk management.
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of tax and technology professionals.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence.
• Partner with Finance, Engineering, Legal, and business units to integrate tax requirements into systems and initiatives.
• Oversee execution of complex global tax operations with regulatory adherence and strong internal controls; manage relationships with external advisors/vendors.
