PayPal is seeking an experienced Tax Counsel - Information Reporting to ensure global policy compliance for information reporting and withholding taxes across products, processes, and procedures. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess new products for reporting requirements and craft defensible policy positions.

The role focuses on FATCA, CRS, CARF, and 1099 compliance with opportunities to guide product development and implement remediation where needed.

Formación

• 5+ years of relevant tax experience and a Juris Doctor (JD) degree or foreign equivalent.
• Admission to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage significant tax matters.
• Experience with global information reporting (IRS, FATCA, CRS and CARF) and 1099 reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Independently advises on complex tax issues affecting business operations and strategic initiatives.
• Develops technical tax analyses supporting planning strategies, reporting positions, audit defense, and regulatory compliance.
• Partners with business units and Finance leadership to structure initiatives in a tax-efficient and compliant manner.
• Identifies tax risk exposures and recommends mitigation strategies aligned with PayPal’s risk tolerance.
• Coordinates with outside advisors and mentors junior attorneys as needed.
