Job summary
Ford Motor Company seeks a Technical Expert (LL6) in Vehicle Hardware Engineering to lead global suspension reliability and verification methods. You will drive cross‑functional collaboration, establish robust test methods, and ensure tests reflect design inputs and CAE verification.
Requirements include 10+ years in chassis systems, DFMEA/PFMEA experience, and strong leadership. Occasional travel to plants and centers is required as Ford offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities
Qualifications
- BS-Engineering required.
- 10 years of chassis systems and architecture development experience.
- Experience with DFMEA/PFMEA/SCCAF/Control Plans/ drawings-GD&T.
- Experience with problem solving tools – 8D, 5 Why, Six Sigma, etc.
- Strong leadership, quality focus, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of CAE and physical test methods.
Responsibilities
- Suspension System reliability demonstration.
- Ensure best in world quality from initial vehicle quality through high time in service.
- Ensure alignment of reliability targets across vehicle to end item levels.
- Develop and execute vehicle, system, and lab tests to cover failure modes.
- Connect test methods to design inputs and CAE verification.
- Coach and mentor global Suspension D&R engineers.
