Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Technical Expert (LL6) to lead the design, development, and in-house process delivery for suspension structural components, including stampings, castings, and forgings. The role emphasizes DFMEA, PPAP, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering and manufacturing to optimize tooling and process feasibility.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in chassis structural design and release.
• Deep knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA and GD&T.
• Experience with DFM/ DFA and PPAP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-house design and manufacturing process for suspension structural parts.
• Develop and maintain internal engineering foundation documents (design guides, rules, requirements).
• Create and manage Level 2 technical materials (FMEAs, Control Plans, Safe Launch Plans).
• Lead DFMA/ DFA reviews prior to tool kickoff and ensure tooling and plant compatibility.
• Drive manufacturing process simulations to optimize structures and feasibility.
• Lead supplier-related OK-to-build/OK-to-ship processes and approvals.
