Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Technical Expert (LL6) to lead the in-house design and manufacturing process for suspension structural components at Ford Vehicles. You will drive DFMEA/PFMEA, GD&T, and PPAP deliverables while coordinating with cross‑functional teams across design, release, and tooling suppliers.

The role requires extensive chassis structural experience, advanced GD&T knowledge, and strong problem-solving and DOE capabilities to optimize manufacturing feasibility and tool

Qualifications

• BS-Engineering required.
• 10 Years of experience in chassis structural design + engineering.
• Extensive experience in suspension structural components (stampings, castings, forgings).
• Deep understanding of Build-to-Print Supplier (BTPS) deliverables and PPAP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of an in-house design and manufacturing process for suspension structural parts.
• Develop component and assembly GD&T for in-house designs and sign-off program prints.
• Support prototype development with program teams on BTP parts.
• Manage data collection and capability analysis for SC/CC and calculate Ppk.
• Lead DOE and design of experiments to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Develop APQP plans and conduct OK-To-Build/OK-To-Ship reviews with gauge/RR sign-off.
