Aston Carter seeks a Buyer/Supply Planner in Springfield, VA to lead end-to-end supply planning with a 12‑month horizon, coordinating with commercial, operations, sourcing and supply chain teams to align supply, demand and inventory. The role emphasizes data-driven decisions and continuous improvement in a global environment.

The position requires Oracle Fusion experience, advanced Excel skills and a proven track record of material cost improvement, inventory optimization and strong supplier

Qualifications

• 5+ years owning the supply planning function with inventory oversight.
• Proven ability to balance service, stock-outs and turns.
• Hands-on purchasing/procurement within a supply chain setting.
• Proficient with Oracle Fusion / Oracle ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables for analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly PSI reviews with commercial teams to align supply, demand and inventory.
• Own and maintain the weekly and monthly supply plan over a 12-month horizon.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for material cost improvements.
• Champion supplier quality and delivery, resolving issues promptly.
• Collaborate with global sourcing to minimize disruptions to supply.
• Prepare presentations and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Utilize ERP for purchasing, procurement and planning activities.
• Create tools and analytics to predict supply risks and improve accuracy.
