Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Buyer to support purchasing and inventory operations in Knoxville, Tennessee. This contract-to-hire role focuses on creating and managing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining accurate inventory data to ensure materials are available for operations.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain and strong Excel/data management skills, with exposure to NetSuite preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory, supply chain, materials planning, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders in NetSuite.
• Track orders and communicate with suppliers regarding deliveries, shortages, and lead times.
• Maintain accurate item, vendor, pricing, and inventory information.
• Monitor inventory levels and help prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
• Support production and supply chain teams with material planning needs.
• Generate reports and analyze data using Excel.
• Assist with domestic and international purchasing activities.
• Support process improvements and ERP data maintenance.
