Job summary

Crystalia Glass LLC is a U.S.-based manufacturer expanding its Supply Engineering team with a focus on scaling procurement operations. The Supply Engineering Team Lead will mentor four engineers, drive supplier relationships across multiple regions, and optimize procurement processes while balancing hands-on work during peak periods.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience in glass or glazing industries.
• 3+ years of people management leading procurement/supply teams.
• Experience building or scaling procurement functions with processes, KPIs, and team structure.
• Designing and implementing procurement processes across full purchasing cycle.
• Experience with international suppliers across multiple regions.
• Hands-on sourcing of glass, glazing components, or related materials.
• Experience managing supplier relationships, pricing, lead times, and risks.
• Experience with international logistics, imports/exports, and cross-border procurement.
• Ability to read technical drawings and engineering docs.
• Experience implementing procurement tools and cross-functional workflows.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and PDF tools.
• Fluent English; Russian is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Procurement operations and team leadership of four Supply Engineers.
• Launch production by coordinating glass orders and materials.
• Plan inventory levels and forecast procurement needs.
• Review drawings and specs to prepare accurate material lists.
• Verify dimensions, finishes, and quality before placing orders.
• Track engineering docs and procurement changes through projects.
• Ensure orders and documentation are completed before production/containers.
• Source and develop supplier relationships across US, Europe, Middle East and Asia.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Manage purchasing for production, warehouse, and installation.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and costs.
• Collaborate with Sales, Project Managers, Engineers, Estimators, Warehouse, and Installation.
• Support engineering changes and material substitutions.
• Provide procurement expertise and pricing information for projects.
• Ensure purchased materials meet specifications and docs.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four Supply Engineers.
• Assign tasks and monitor deadlines; conduct one-on-one coaching.
• Review team procurement docs, lists, and purchase orders.
• Assist engineers with complex sourcing and supplier escalations.
• Coordinate procurement with internal stakeholders; drive improvements.
• Report progress, risks, and updates to CTO.
