Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Project Engineer to shape enterprise planning by connecting demand, supply, inventory, factory, and supplier planning.

You will translate processes into requirements, support planning solutions, and drive improvements across the supply chain. Based onsite at Irving, TX or Peoria, IL, you will partner with stakeholders to define requirements, coordinate activities, and ensure successful implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience supporting supply chain planning and operations.
• Ability to translate business needs into process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Translate supply chain requirements into business requirements and specifications.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and digital enablement.
• Support planning and orchestration solution implementations with business and IT teams.
• Facilitate requirements sessions and document business rules and workflows.
• Coordinate project activities, track deliverables, and manage risks.
• Assist with testing, deployment, training, and adoption of new processes.
• Analyze data and metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and SOPs.
• Collaborate across Supply Chain, Sales, Operations, and IT to achieve objectives.
• Support continuous improvement to improve planning effectiveness and customer service.
