Caterpillar Inc. in Decatur, IL is seeking a senior supply chain professional to lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of complex, globally-reaching supply streams tied to a defined product group.

You will map the end-to-end value chain, align supplier capacity, inventory strategies, and customer requirements to ensure availability and reliable delivery. The role requires experience in value-chain planning, S&OP, and supplier management within manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is desired.
• Experience leading value-chain planning, integrated business planning, supply planning, material planning, or S&OP in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and management of complex supply streams with global reach.
• Create end-to-end view of the value chain by linking supplier capacity, inventory strategy, and customer requirements.
• Develop NPI value chain strategy and cost strategy to meet product availability expectations.
• Manage supplier relationships and processes to ensure supply and on-time delivery with optimal inventory.
• Support supplier evaluation by assessing capability, delivery, risk, quality, and fit.
• Analyze supply-chain trends, forecasts, and inventory performance to identify improvements.
• Foster partnerships across operations, procurement, logistics, planning, and finance to reduce silos.
• Lead major supply-chain and value-chain improvement projects including planning, risk, and KPI tracking.
