Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. seeks a Supply Chain Planning Engineer located in Morton, IL. This 1st-shift, on-site role supports the Claims and Returns organization by delivering data-driven reports and analytical solutions.

You will use SAS and Power Platform to build and refine applications, data tables, and reports for senior management. Responsibilities include developing ad hoc analyses, repairing existing reports, and leading moderately complex projects using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for reporting and data solutions used by Supply Planning Management (SPM) and Legacy Claims and Returns teams.
• Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance reports, data tables, applications, and analytical solutions.
• Fulfill new and ad hoc reporting requests, including gathering requirements, identifying data sources, developing code and queries, and publishing solutions through Power BI or SAS.
• Use programming and analytical skills to develop applications and solutions that address business and reporting needs.
• Maintain and update existing SAS programs, reports, and data processes to support evolving business requirements.
• Analyze data and reporting needs to identify opportunities for improved or innovative data sets, reports, and technical solutions.
• Investigate and resolve reporting issues, including repairing and enhancing existing reports and applications.
• Lead moderately complex projects using project management, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies to manage deliverables, timelines, and project activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple regions to understand requirements and deliver effective data and reporting solutions.
• Communicate technical information, project updates, analyses, and recommendations effectively to business partners and senior management.
