Job summary

Jazz Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Director, Head of Global Study Management to shape strategic direction and lead execution across Clinical Operations. You will sit on the Clinical Operations Leadership Team and guide performance, budget stewardship, and regulatory compliant trial delivery worldwide.

The role requires a proven track record in global Phase I–IV studies, strong multinational team leadership, and the ability to align functional goals with the broader R&D strategy.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading global Phase I–IV clinical studies across multiple therapeutic areas.
• Significant biopharma/CR O leadership experience in clinical operations.
• Strong strategic leadership, organizational design, and budget management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and articulate the strategic vision and long-term direction for Global Study Management, aligned with GCDO and R&D goals.
• Lead Clinical Operations Leadership Team, contribute to governance, resource planning and operational excellence.
• Foster a high-performance culture across Global Study Management with accountability and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Program Leadership and Strategic Trial Optimization for planning and execution of the trial portfolio.
• Provide oversight of trial execution against KPIs, timelines, quality standards and budgets.
• Mentor and develop Global Study Management leaders; support succession planning.
• Scale capabilities and resources to manage complex global trials across time zones.
• Build partnerships across Clinical Development, Regulatory, Biostatistics, QA and Supply Chain.
• Drive financial stewardship with planning, forecasting, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP and regulatory requirements; promote audit readiness.
