Job summary

UC Davis Global Affairs seeks a Staff Advisor to coordinate administration of faculty-led study abroad programs, including Summer and Internships, and other Global Learning Hub travel initiatives. The role collaborates with faculty, vendors, and programs, handling budgets, contracts, and risk management, while guiding students and families through pre-departure and re-entry processes.

The position emphasizes marketing, enrollment management, and health and safety planning, with campus-wide

Qualifications

• Professional experience in international education with policy knowledge.
• Experience using university counseling techniques to advise students.
• Experience developing student marketing and engagement strategies.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of safety, security and health issues for study abroad.
• Understanding advising and program development principles in international education.
• Ability to present to diverse groups including students and families.
