Job summary

University of Notre Dame is seeking an Assistant Director for Study Abroad to lead ND Global’s study abroad programs. You will guide students through recruitment, advising, applications, and cohort selection, while shaping pre-departure readiness and re-entry programming.

You will collaborate with campus departments and international partners to advance academic goals, intercultural understanding, and institutional internationalization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Three to four years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of study abroad scholarship and practice.
• Intercultural competency and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide students through the full study abroad lifecycle: recruitment, advising, application evaluation, and cohort selection.
• Design and deliver pre-departure preparation programs.
• Lead re-entry and reintegration programming for returning students.
• Provide guidance on scholarships and financial aid opportunities.
• Ensure quality, compliance, and strategic alignment across programs.
• Collaborate with on-site partners and global staff to support operations.
• Analyze program data and feedback to support improvement.
